Terms of Service
Effective date · 10 July 2026
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are the agreement between you and Merieu Private Limited, the company behind the Foways brand, for your use of Tasks. We have tried to keep them readable. Please read them — by using the Service you agree to them.
1. Acceptance of these terms
By creating an account or using Tasks (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you agree to these Terms for that organization and confirm you have authority to do so. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. The service
Tasks is a task manager organized as projects, lists, and tasks, used in your web browser or through our iOS and Android apps. It lets you capture and organize work, add notes, tags, comments, and file attachments, and share projects with other people to collaborate. We may add, change, or remove features over time, and we may set reasonable limits (such as the 10 MB cap on individual file attachments) to keep the Service running well for everyone.
3. Your account and eligibility
To use the Service you create an account with your name and email address, secured either by a password or by signing in through a third-party identity provider. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for everything that happens under your account. Let us know promptly at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized use. You must be old enough to use the Service in your country (at least 13, or older where required) and able to form a binding contract.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- break the law, infringe others’ rights, or use the Service for anything illegal, harmful, or abusive;
- upload or share content you don’t have the right to, or that is unlawful, malicious, or infringing;
- attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure;
- use the Service to send spam, or to store or distribute malware;
- resell or commercially exploit the Service except as expressly allowed.
We may suspend or limit access if we reasonably believe you are violating these Terms or putting the Service or other users at risk.
Support is a shared space. The in-app Support board is visible to other signed-in users, and we have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behaviour there — including harassment or bullying, hate speech, threats or violence, sexual content, spam, and impersonation. You can report any post or reply, and block any user, from the “…” menu on that content. We review reports, remove content that breaks these rules, and may suspend or terminate the accounts responsible — usually within 24 hours. For questions or urgent concerns, write to us at [email protected].
5. Your content and ownership
You own your content.The projects, lists, tasks, notes, tags, comments, and files you create or upload remain yours. We don’t claim ownership of them.
To run the Service, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, display, and process your content — but only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the Service, and to provide it to you and to the people you share it with. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies retained briefly in routine backups or as the law requires. You are responsible for the content you put into the Service and for having the rights to use it.
6. Team and shared projects
You can invite other people to a project by email and assign them a role — Owner, Editor, or Viewer — which determines what they can see and do. When you share content, you authorize us to make it available to those members according to their role. People you invite are responsible for their own use of the Service. If a project has multiple members, actions like changing access or deleting shared content may affect everyone in it.
7. A free service, and a beta
Tasks is currently free and offered while it is in beta. That means it is still evolving: features may change or be removed, and you may occasionally encounter bugs or interruptions. We may introduce paid plans in the future; if we do, we will give you notice and you can decide whether to continue. We may also change, suspend, or discontinue the Service, in whole or in part, at our discretion.
8. Intellectual property
The Service itself — including its software, design, the Tasks and Foways names, and our logos — is owned by Foways and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms give you a limited, non-transferable right to use the Service; they don’t grant you any rights in our brand or software beyond that use. If you send us feedback or suggestions, you allow us to use them to improve the Service without obligation to you.
9. Termination
You can stop using the Service at any time and delete your account from Settings → Account → Delete account. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, or where we reasonably need to in order to protect the Service or other users. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; sections that by their nature should survive — such as content ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law — will continue to apply.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any data will never be lost. You are responsible for keeping your own copies of anything important.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Foways and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service. Because the Service is provided free of charge, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim — which, for a free service, may be zero. Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms as the Service and the law change. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and the courts of India will have jurisdiction over any dispute, unless mandatory law in your country of residence provides otherwise. Nothing in these Terms removes any consumer-protection or data-protection right you have under the mandatory law of the country you live in.
