Appearance & themes
The app should feel like yours and disappear into your habits. Pick a theme, set how tight the rows sit, and confirm the time zone that decides where one day ends and the next begins.
Themes
Choose from six themes in Settings. Each is applied before the first paint, so switching — or simply loading the app — never flashes the wrong colors at you.
System
Follows your device — light by day, dark by night.
OLED
True black, for the deepest contrast on OLED screens.
Light
Warm paper. The default daylight surface.
Dark
Soft charcoal — dark without being harsh.
Grunge
A grittier, lower-key take on dark.
Cute
A softer palette with a gentler accent.
Density
Density controls how much breathing room each row gets — trade air for how much fits on screen. Cozy is the default and the one most people keep.

- The most generous spacing. Easiest to scan, fewest rows in view.
- Cozy
- The balanced default — roomy enough to read, dense enough to work.
- Compact
- The tightest rows, for fitting long lists on one screen.

Time zone
Tasks auto-detects your time zone, and you can override it in Settings if you’d rather pin it somewhere else. This isn’t a cosmetic choice: your time zone sets the day boundary— the moment “today” rolls over to “tomorrow.”
That boundary is what Inbox, Today, and Upcoming use to decide what’s due now versus later, so getting it right keeps those views honest when you travel or work across zones.
