Capturing work
Quick add & natural language
The fastest way to capture anything is to just type it. Every add bar — and the Quick-add modal you can open from anywhere — reads plain language, so a date, a repeat, a #tag, and an @mention all land in the right fields without a single menu.
Type it the way you'd say it
Write a title and tack on the details inline. As you type, a live preview shows exactly how the app is reading you — what becomes the title, the date, the repeat, the tag, the assignee — so there’s never a surprise. Press ↵ when the preview matches what you meant.

What it understands
- Dates
- Natural phrasings: today, tonight, tomorrow, in 3 days, next Monday, on Friday, or an explicit date like Jun 15 or 6-15.
- Recurrence
- every Monday, daily, weekly, monthly — the task repeats on that cadence.
- #tags
- Any #word becomes a tag on the task. Add as many as fit.
- @mentions
- @name sets the assignee on a shared project, handing the task to that person.
A few examples
Mix and match freely — the parser pulls each piece out and leaves the rest as the title.
Pay invoices on Friday #financeTitle “Pay invoices” · due Fri, May 22 · #financeWater the plants every MondayTitle “Water the plants” · repeats every MondayDraft launch email tonight @mayaTitle “Draft launch email” · due today · added to Today · assigned MayaRenew domain 6-15 #personalTitle “Renew domain” · due Jun 15 · #personalThe Quick-add modal
Press n from anywhere to open Quick add— a focused modal for capturing a task without leaving the view you’re in. It parses the same plain language as the inline bars, and lets you choose the destination project and list as you go. Capture the thought, point it at the right place, done.
Hints while you type
Not sure what the bar accepts? The placeholder rotates through hintswhen it’s empty — “every Monday #launch,” “tomorrow @alex,” “in 3 days” — a gentle nudge toward the syntax without a cheat sheet to memorize. You’ll pick it up in a day.
