Focus & organize
Sort, group & filter
All Tasks and your list views come with three controls to reshape what you see: sort, group, and filter. Set them once and they’re remembered per view — each list keeps the shape you gave it.
Remembered per view
The controls are scoped to the view you’re in. Sort All Tasks by due date, group a project’s list by assignee — each choice sticks to that view and is waiting next time you open it. No global setting to fight; every list can have its own shape.
All Tasks
Sort
Order the list however helps. The catch worth knowing: the moment you drag a task to reorder it by hand, the sort flips to Custom — your manual arrangement takes over, because you clearly meant it.
- Custom
- Your own hand-arranged order. Any manual drag switches to this.
- Due ↑ / Due ↓
- By due date, soonest-first or latest-first.
- Title A–Z / Z–A
- Alphabetical, either direction.
- Created newest / oldest
- By when the task was captured.
Group
Bucket the list under headings to see structure. Groups are collapsible — fold one away, or collapse allat once for a bird’s-eye view — and you can drag the group headers to reorder the buckets themselves.
- None
- A single flat list, ungrouped.
- Project
- Grouped by the owning project.
- List
- Grouped by the list a task sits in.
- Due
- Grouped by due date — overdue, today, later.
- Assignee
- Grouped by who owns each task.
- Tag
- Grouped by tag.
Filter
Narrow the view to just what matters. Stack filters as needed; an active-filter count badge shows how many are on, and Clear filtersresets them in one move so you’re never wondering why half your tasks are hiding.
- Due
- By date — overdue, today, this week, or undated.
- Assignee
- By who owns the task.
- Has a note
- Only tasks that carry a free-text note.
- Project
- Limit to one or more projects.
- Filter badge
- A count of active filters, so the current lens is never a mystery.
- Clear filters
- Resets every filter at once.
They stack
Sort, group, and filter compose. Filter to #copy with a note, group by project, sort each group by due date — three small choices that turn a long list into exactly the working set you wanted, and the view keeps it that way until you change your mind.
