Capturing work
Tags
Tags are lightweight labels that cut across projects and lists. #launch, #copy, #bug— a quick way to slice your work by theme rather than by where it lives. They’re optional, fast to add, and they get their own views.
Adding & removing tags
Two ways, whichever’s closer to hand. Type #tagright in the add bar and it’s attached as you create the task, or open the task’s tag editor to add and remove tags afterward. Tags are lowercased automatically so #Launch and #launch are the same label, and a task can hold up to 12 of them. On a row, tags show as small chips.

The Tags folder
The sidebar has a Tagsfolder that lists every tag you’re using, each with a count of its open tasks. It’s a fast read on what’s outstanding by theme, and a one-click way into any tag’s view.
Filtering a project by tag
Inside a project, a tag filter bar lets you narrow the view to one or more tags — tap #copyto see just the copy work, tap again to clear it. It’s a quick lens over a single project, distinct from the cross-project tag views below.

Tag views
Open a tag — from the Tags folder or the command palette — and you get a tag view: every task carrying that tag, drawn from all your projects at once. It’s the cross-cutting counterpart to a project: “show me everything tagged #launch, wherever it lives.”
Group by tag, and retag by dragging
On lists that support grouping, choose Group by tag to bucket tasks under their tags. From there, drag a task onto another tag group to retag it — drop a task under #copyand it picks up that tag. It’s the quickest way to reclassify a batch of work by feel.
- Group by tag
- Buckets the current list under each tag heading.
- Drag to a group
- Dropping a task on a tag group applies that tag to it.
