Search & keyboard
Two ways to move without reaching for the mouse: a command palette that finds anything and takes you there, and a small, learnable keyboard map. Both are built so your hands stay where you’re thinking.
The command palette
The palette is the fastest path to anywhere. Open it with ⌘K (or CtrlK), by pressing /, by clicking Search in the sidebar, or — on mobile — by pulling down on any list. Start typing and results narrow as you go; ↵ opens the highlighted result and Esc closes the palette.

The palette searches across four kinds of thing at once, so a single field covers most of what you’d otherwise click for:
- Tasks
- Type any words from a task’s title. Open a match to jump straight to its detail sheet, in whatever project it lives in.
- Smart views
- Type a view’s name — Inbox, Today, Upcoming, Assigned to me, All Tasks, Completed, Feed, Support, Bin — to jump there.
- Tags
- Start with # to find a tag (for example #launch) and open its cross-project view.
- Commands
- Actions, not search results — Open settings or Send feedback / report a bug — run straight from the palette without leaving the keyboard.
The keyboard map
On desktop, the app is built to be driven entirely from the keyboard. Navigation uses a leader key: tap g, then a letter, to go to any view in two keystrokes. The rest are single keys for the things you do constantly.
